As we enter this holiday season, I anticipate mixed emotions. This will be the first Christmas without my grandma. I am no longer pregnant and waiting for my precious little girl to join us soon after the holidays. Though there is much emptiness, I do feel hope. Hope that each tomorrow will ease the pain of losing loved ones. Hope that the future holds many special moments for me and my family. Hope that someday I will see my grandma and precious baby, Braelyn again.
I am truly thankful for all that God has provided in my life. Although I have faced a great deal of sadness in 2010, I have much to rejoice about. I hope to be able to express the thankfulness that I feel in future entries in my new blog. I challenge you to make a list of all that you are thankful for in your life. Don't take anything on that list for granted, because as I have learned, it can be gone in a flash. Tell those around you that you love and care for them, treat them well, and show love to those you barely know as well. After all, isn't that why we are all here?
