I made it!!!!

23 Weeks 6 Days-- Goal #1 Successful!

Today I am officially pregnant longer than I was last time.  I've made it to 23 weeks, 6 days.  I had Braelyn at 23 weeks, 5 days, so this is a huge milestone for us!  Every day from here is a bonus for this baby.  Everything is still going fine with the pregnancy and I'm being watched closely.  I'm so grateful I get to see my precious baby every Wednesday!  I truly cherish each moment that I get to see his face.  I have 113 days left in this pregnancy, but my next goal is to make it to 28 weeks.  As you can see from the chart below, the odds are quite good after 28 weeks.  Thank you to everyone for the thoughts and prayers.  They are truly working!  I can't wait to meet my miracle baby...but not until December I hope!

I have made it to 23 weeks today!  In my pregnancy with Braelyn, today would have been the day I went into the hospital.  I am feeling blessed that with this pregnancy I could enjoy turning 23 weeks.   Now to just get through Saturday...that will be 23 weeks 5 days, the day that I had Braelyn.  I think Baby Squirt has a good chance to make it to the viable stage!

Baby Boy's Room

We are completely finished decorating baby boy Corbin's room.  We chose the color and bedding for Braelyn, but decided to keep it the same for this baby too.  I LOVE this room.  It's so peaceful and relaxing.  I can just picture us holding, playing with, and cuddling our baby in the room.  I like to go in there to sit in the chair and read or look out the window.  Won't be much longer until little man is living in there!  Here are some pictures of the room and the details.

If I Die Young

At Braelyn's memorial we played the song "If I Die Young" by The Band Perry.  It seemed like a very fitting song for a little girl who was gone too soon.  I have heard this song on the radio several times since her death and it really doesn't make me sad.  I actually feel more connected to her when I hear it.  

I found out last week that The Band Perry is coming to Bloomington to put on a show.  The ironic part is that the date they are coming to play is October 7.  The same day as Braelyn's first birthday.  I can't help but to think it's a sign.  I won't go to the show, but I'll probably listen to the song several times throughout the day to remember my sweet baby.
